Designer Chloe Penny explores a variety of processes to challenge existing concepts on Textile Design and works to develop these ideas into something innovative, instructional and interesting.
Influenced by medical microbiology and virtual reality, this project provides a contemporary outlook on advances in science-influenced art by combining traditional techniques, with machine-knitting, and the technological world, with computer modelling and three-dimensional moving image.

Through the study of cell movement and production, Chloe has been able to construct animations that communicate a microscopic insight into fictional, disease aesthetics, characteristics and mannerisms, alongside models that supply an enhanced view on individual pathogens through and exaggerated use of colour and composition.
