Focusing on mixed media, I create innovative fabrics which are contemporary and can be used for both fashion and interior concepts. My process focuses on application and layering. My current degree show collection, Traditional Technology, fuses the gap between craftsmanship and technology. A series of fabrics which are made from structured geometric laser cut shapes inspired by repeat patterns found in architecture. With the traditional element being in the finishing touchesusing colourful stitch. I have created a collection of fashion garments utilising my developed laser cut material, which are sophisticated, luxury, bold and fun. I am keen to expand my collection, continuing to use mixed media and lasercutting processes, into further markets by experimenting and development.
